I think that little unpleasantness along the Black Sea is rooted less in the Georgian government's desire to prove it still owns South Ossetia and more in the Russian government's desire to prove it still owns Georgia . . .

And if the Russians are bombing Georgia, can we get them to take out Valdosta?  Used to be our big state-championship rivals in high school football . . .

(But leave Savannah out of it.  Nice city.)

It's no secret Vladimir Putin wants to recreate the Soviet Union.

He might have some trouble with Ukraine. The Baltic states should be worried, though. They've already had a cyber-war.
