Okay, I went out for my usual night patrol, checking the perimeter of our yard for skunks or drunks before locking up and heading upstairs last night.  And there I am, standing in the middle of our driveway, when the world lights up actinic blue.  Lightning flash overhead.

I don't remember committing any extreme transgressions lately . . .

I think they have sufficient lightning protection and a good ground. Otherwise, the building would have vaporized long since.
