Virtue (un)rewarded
Okay, it being a beautiful day in the neighborhood, I decided to walk down to the library. Save gas, dump that book that was aggravating me, get some others less obnoxious. I'm old enough, I don't have to finish books. There will not be a test.
And the library is closed. Switched to "summer hours" this week, daytime only, and only weekdays. Whatever stupid kind of library closes when people have extra free time?
(Yeah, they've been doing it forever. Doesn't mean I have to like it.)
Dumped book in "night deposit" slot and walked back. At least it was a beautiful day.

The university library used to require a separate card. Don't know if they've changed policy.
Other than those, the libraries are tiny -- some of them one or two rooms. As I've commented before, this is the largest "city" in any direction for a hundred miles.
