National degeneracy

Kids these days.  Handed coins to the guy behind the counter this morning, a quarter, three dimes, and a nickel, $.60 US as usual for the morning paper.  Which is the correct price.  He claimed he needed another dime...

Took him three tries to decide I had it right.

If you can't count money, you're gonna have a few problems with the modern world.

Just for laughs, try throwing in a Canadian coin and watching the counterperson try to figure out what you're up to. I usually have some Canadian change in my pocket after visits to Ontario (I'm in Cleveland) and while it isn't terribly uncommon around here, it does tend to throw some people.

Canadian coins are common around here, never questioned. They "pass for white"...
