I note with my usual wry amusement that none of the Nebula winners were works that I had voted for.  Or even read.  This represents "situation normal."

If you want a particular candidate to win a particular election, persuade me to vote for its opponent.  That conjure-mojo has a high rate of success.  I have never voted for a winning U.S. presidential candidate, for example, dating back to Humphrey versus Nixon...

Frankly, my dear, I can't get enthusiastic about any of the candidates. Voting for McCain with intent to put a curse on him, that has possibilities.
