Friday not-roadkill report

The wind did not relent.  Instead, I proved that my stubbornness knows no bounds, and went for a ride anyway.  Temperature in the mid 50s F, so that aspect was marginal, as well.

No roadkill to report.  Not-roadkill includes spring peepers out in the bog, and a woodchuck surveying the cemetery.

The upwind leg took me about eight minutes longer than it should have.  Downwind home went faster, but the two never balance out.  Such is the metaphysical side of cycling.

That's not metaphysical, it's mathematical. It's the same thing as the classic word problem about the airplane that flies X miles with a tailwind of Y MPH, then turns around and flies back into the wind for the same distance.
