Am I the only observer shaking my head over news that it's the border wall between Gaza and Egypt that Hamas is blowing up?  Absolutely frigging nobody wants those demon Palestinians...

(Ignoring the issue that a sovereign Palestinian nation already exists.  It's called "Jordan.")

Israel insisted that Egypt close its border with Gaza.

And it's Israel that's still insisting Egypt close its border with Gaza. Note that the wall on that side is a lot easier to break down than the one on the Israeli side - and that the Egyptian police are turning a blind eye to the exodus as often as possible.

It's been 60 years since the partition of Palestine. 40 years since the Six Day War. That means two or three generations born in refugee camps. In that time, has _any_ Mideast nation allowed the refugees to integrate and become citizens?

US immigration "policy" sucks, but at least kids born in the US are automatic citizens.
