We received about a foot of snow -- no idea what the official statistics might be, and the wind made accurate local measurement impossible.  Drifting.  Anyway, we have cars (escape pods) and driveways and sidewalks and other such amenities again.  Chewing through the snowplow's Maginot Line took enough gas that I had to refuel the snowblower before finishing up.  Yeah, I know that you're supposed to outflank such obstacles, like Sherman took Atlanta.  Works okay for foot traffic, but not so well for cars...

Anyway, the world is now white again, as opposed to the rather disgusting mix of grays and yellows and browns we had before.  Forecast for another storm on Friday, maybe mixed precip this time.  I think I'll wait on skiing until tomorrow.

12.3 inches in Bangor, according to the National Weather Service.

The white landscape is definitely an improvement on the various shades of yuck that had been on the ground after the big thaw.

Got the stats on the noon news, via Wife. We just returned from a walk around the neighborhood, and the accumulation at the "town commons" a block away looked more like 6". Some of what I removed came to at least 16". YMMV.
