Not dinner, which was a couple of bowls of most savory pea soup. No, the roads and sidewalks and parking lots of our fair village.
This would be a good night to stay home. We didn't get much snow, just a thin layer of slush, and it has stopped now. But this initiates the annual ritual of remedial training for winter driving, in which people discover just what a little bit of ice does to the coefficient of friction. And that good traction here doesn't necessarily mean that the next curve or stop will present duplicate conditions...
