Impending doom
Nov. 3rd, 2007 09:45 amAnd gathering gloom. Clouds thin enough early that I could see the crescent moon through them, but not Venus. Now I can't see the sun.
Pretty heavy buildup for just another Nor'easter, eh? Don't blame me, blame the weather hysterics on the Tube. Now we seem to have a flash flood watch, as that 3"+ of rain may arrive at the rate of a couple of inches per hour.
Or not.
We didn't get this wound up about full-fledged hurricanes when I was a lad. Younger generation is getting soft. Anyway, I have the ham radio 2-meter handhelds charged up and ARES* ID card in my pocket. Full tank of gas in the car.

Ah well. House is full of food and drinks (normal state of affairs) and I did fill up, what, yesterday? Assuming I can get home from work. Not that I expect any problems.
