Bogging down
Wife and I went out and ambled around the bog boardwalk this afternoon, saying "Hi!" to the pitcher plants and moss and all. No sundews spotted this time -- don't know if I just couldn't find them, or they've folded up and vanished for the winter. Tamaracks turning yellow, bright flaming maples and other such leafy things. Still a couple of palm warblers sighted, even though I thought all the bug-eaters had decamped.
And a couple of bunchberry flowers, their timing all off. Of such experiments is evolution made. Sometimes they don't get frozen...
