Should be a lesson in the utility of keeping one's own hands clean before complaining of the dirtiness of others.

OTOH, it is true that prostitutes can be raped too.

I am mildly amused that Various People have turned the discussion into a rehash and dissection of Dr. Andrew Burt, rather than Le Guin and Doctorow.

Also amused that BoingBoing could have dodged the whole catfight by linking to Le Guin's own posting or Ansible's, with _her_ copyright notice, rather than copying the "letter" entire and posting it on a page with the Creative Commons License wording.

But linking would send people away from the BB site, and loses control of all those valuable eyeballs...

Not sure who the prostitute is, in your second sentence.
