Maine Festival of the Book
May. 7th, 2007 08:41 amFinally got an actual, you know, time for my big debut as a public author. (Signing at the local Borders doesn't count.)
I will be part of a fantasy writers' panel, with Kristen Britain, Karen Jordan Allen, and Noreen Doyle, Sunday, June 24, 2:30 -- 3:45 pm, at the Maine College of Art, Room 207, 522 Congress St., Portland, Maine. That's right downtown, one block off Monument Square.
Any and all welcome to watch me make a total ass of myself. At least I've had practice at that.
Those few of you familiar with Maine geography will deduce that this would be one of the more awkward times available for a couple of authors who will be traveling a hundred and fifty miles on summer weekend highways to attend...

Date: 2007-05-08 01:38 am (UTC)My own experience with Maine summer traffic tends to be dealing with the Maine Turnpike - which generally isn't an issue north of Portland. The Portland-to-Kittery stretch used to tend towards parking-lot-itis, but (a) the additional lane in each direction helps quite a bit and (b) south of Portland isn't an issue for you anyway. (Now, if you're masochistic enough to take US1 instead, that's another kettle of fish.)
