Mental illness is a "disability" under the definitions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  You cannot legally bar a mentally-ill person from public spaces or services, unless you can _prove_ he is a danger to others or himself.

A disturbing number of people are yelling that "that psycho" should have been barred from campus. Should have been locked up, should have been...
