Dead cat bounce?

(No actual cats were harmed in any way in the filming of this episode...)

Wall Street hath a saying that even a dead cat will bounce if you drop it from enough height. We (editorial "we") note that the market is up a bit today.

In other news, I have allegedly signed up for Verizon DSL at the lowest bit-rate. We shall see what we shall see. Activation dated next week. Don't know if the new computer will have arrived by then -- may have to set things up on the laptop as an interim solution for testing, as this desktop machine does not have an ethernet card. Don't know if Elder Son has a discard card in his junkbox and the willingness to install and configure same. Or, for that matter, a wired router, as the basic service comes with just the DSL modem for one connection.

And I think that is enough financial trauma for one week, thankyouverymuch. Do have a bit of publishing news (_not_ a new book sold, dammit) for future release.

That dead cat is bouncing and twitching all over the place so far this morning. It's day trader heaven right now.

May their trading programs cast the day traders into outermost confusion. Ya want to gamble, get thee to Vegas and let investors sleep o' nights.

This here eagerly awaiting fan awaits said news eagerly. Even though, regretfully, said news is not that of a new book sale.

This won't affect you unless you prefer to read my works in the original French.
