I don't buy much from Amazon. I will always try to buy things locally but, if that fails, I buy online but usually from UK businesses that I've used for decades. (I get annoyed when people forget that mail order was a thing long before the internet existed.) But ebooks are the one thing I do regularly buy from Amazon a) because it's convenient and b) because it's the way many indie authors distribute their books.
