Okay, the non-profit agency has named that project across the river after a deceased member of the local social-service bureaucracy. One recurring phrase in all the eulogies -- "tireless advocate."

I'm willing to bet that translates as "royal bitch" or "pain in the ass" in the minds of a fair number of the people she worked with, including some of yesterday's speakers...

Ah yes... that lovely moment wherein some one dies and instantly time turns back and reorders itself. Ok, maybe it's not that bad in this case. But still.

We've had a few people here die that turned out to be really lovely people. I still wonder who a couple of them are, having met the people in question. Or thinking I had.

What's that old saw? People die and legends are born?
