Green-buds all swellin'

Lilac outside our kitchen window shows more green daily. Poor plant doesn't realize that it literally lives or dies depending on what flowers it puts forth. Some of the modern varieties actually smell bad. We've already beheaded a hydrangea out there because Wife can't stand their smell.

Many plants should be admired from afar. We're going to be wanting to have those windows open in just a few more weeks.
