Spring's slow advancing

Air temperature 26 F, wind south about 3 mph, sunny. Almost all of yesterday's snow has melted, so the robins have regained access to their frozen worms. May be able to get in a walk before the next round of weather.

Have not seen the house finches in a couple of days. Maybe they've found a nest site more suited to their needs.

Not a complete waste

Met up with Ms. Sasha on my afternoon walk. She seemed glad to see me, although I did get a couple of preliminary "Where the hell have you been?" meows. Scattering of robins, no audible mockingbirds.

House finches are back, still don't like people staring at them. Don't know if that is a deal-breaker on housing.
