Regaining daylight

Air temperature 18 F, wind southeast about 3 mph, partly cloudy with scattered squirrels. We may get above freezing today. Don't think I'll have to switch the heat pump over to cooling quite yet. Should be able to get a walk in.

Signs and portents

Cardinals have started singing, silly birds. And I heard a mourning dove calling on my morning walk. A couple of days back, a snatch of mockingbird mocking came from the next street over.
