Are we civilized?

Air temperature 6 F at the airport, wind southwest 4 mph, partly cloudy with waning crescent moon. Feels like -2 F, on a morning when we'll have the main heating shut down for a couple of hours. Needed maintenance that got deferred because the guy we scheduled back in September never showed . . .

We do have heat pumps and an electric space heater in the basement, all of which are engaged and waiting.

Updated heating

Furnace guy has been and gone. Fixed a number of things and didn't have the right part for another. Which will have to be rescheduled, in the middle of winter. We do have heat. And the right readings on the display.
