Plows growling around

Air temperature 35 F, wind west about 6 mph, mostly cloudy. Snow accumulation about 2" of wet stuff, except at the end of our driveway. Will have to deal with that snowplow berm.

Escape routes open

We have cleared the snowplow berm and scraped the driveway down to wet asphalt. Since that and the section of sidewalk we cleared get the sun, we should avoid black ice overnight. Airport weather station claims 37 F.

And this answers the yearly question of whether the city will get done with leaf collection before the snowplow buries those leaves . . .

Air temperature 29 F after sunny afternoon, so there should be some nice patches of melt-water ice out there on the roads. Whee!
