A moose in the mist

Air temperature 34 F, wind south about 3 mph, fog. Can almost see across the park, visibility about 1/2 mile at the airport. Plan for the day includes morning walk and picking up a roasted chicken in the afternoon for tonight's festivities. Thus do we defy the calendar.

Raw November day

Fog/drizzle lifted enough for a morning walk. No cat friends seen, although I did meet a black cat on the next street over that was willing to sniff my knuckles before deciding that we hadn't been introduced. We'll see if this relationship proceeds any further.

Irritation boost

Got over to the foraging grounds and found that they didn't have the regular size of the regular rotisserie chickens on offer. Could get "Family Size" or "Seasoned" or "Natural". Family size is too much bird, seasoned is a crap-shoot and we've never tried it. So the more-expensive natural came home with me. Probably should have picked up a bottle of rum as a consolation prize, but didn't.
