Rain needed muchly

Air temperature 42 F, wind north gusting to 35 mph, cloudy. Rain has slacked off enough that cars aren't running their wipers and there's at least one jogger out doing laps around our park. Supposed to be rain or showers all day. Have an errand that will require me to sample conditions in person. We'll see what that triggers . . .

Avian report

Flock of maybe 20 turkeys in the next village, split between the roadsides with some of them proving that turkeys *can* fly. Then coming back, two eagles soaring over the river. At least one was an immature, probably first year.
