Chipmunk on the front porch. Just don't try to get in, rodent. Lots of acorns outside.

Sunday storm petrel report

Major item on the route was a flock of 5 KC135s and a single C130 out at the visitors' parking lot, regular Air Force markings. I suspect they are refugees from southern bases, and I might see more with access inside the base.

Asters and goldenrod continue rampant, trees turning, woolly bears migrating, etc, etc, etc. Mockingbirds claiming winter territories. Fall continues.

Got out on the bike, across town and back, and this ride takes me over 1000 miles for the year. We will see if the weather allows more distance. We can get snow in October . . .
