Air temperature 61 F, wind near calm, mostly cloudy. Bike ride morning, heat pump service afternoon. Also giving a second shot of spray to a small (softball sized) wasp nest out front, which I'm pretty sure I killed yesterday. Of such banalities is life made.

Dear old Debby is just ambling along at 4 mph, making sure everyone in her area gets wet. Current track is up into Vermont and along the border into Canada. We are on the fringe. May wish we had kept that canoe when we moved?

Wednesday ride log

Single clump of purple asters over on the industrial park road, managed to avoid the mowing. Thistles going to fluff, likewise goats-beard. Bindweed binding the weeds. Ever more of the plague of purple loosestrife.

No roadkill. Metal birds included two of the Luftwaffe zoomies, not checking tail numbers to see if they are the same ones seen before. Three or four KC135s, some local and some visitors.

Actually coolish when I headed out, across town and by the airport and back over some hills. Did not die.
