Usual summer flowers by the roadsides, with a new species of goldenrod added in -- different flowering pattern. And more purple loosestrife. No roadkill. Not-roadkill included a woodchuck and a half-dozen ducks out at the airport. The latter were feeding in a runoff retention pond, which I do not recommend. Still haven't seen a monarch butterfly this year, in spite of the copious milkweed available.
Couple of Luftwaffe fighter jets parked, no sign of their mother ship. They usually travel in flocks.
Warming up enough that I ditched my tenuous plan for a longer ride. Stuck with the regular across-town route. Did not die.
