Monday boring report
Jul. 22nd, 2024 11:18 amSame midsummer flowers in different proportions -- the crown and purple vetches are staging a resurgence, while one area still has hop-clover blooming. That roadside has perpetual shade. And more damned purple loosestrife shows up by the day.
Mockingbirds heard in a couple of known mocking zones. Some raptor flew over at my airport water stop, fast wing-beats, pointy wings, and straight tail. About crow-sized, as best I could tell without a good idea of distance. I've seen both Cooper's hawks and peregrines out there. No interesting metal birds.
Got out on the bike, across town and over some hills and home. Did not die.
