Wednesday floral report
May. 29th, 2024 11:50 amScentless chamomile blooming, earliest phlox, ragged-robin, both red and white clover by the roadside, purple vetch. The stalwart yellow hawkweed and buttercups continue. Fruit trees, both ornamental and working, are pretty much done.
No roadkill ID'd -- couple of bloody patches of asphalt seen, but the cleanup crew got there first, and a small rodent-shape on the other traffic lane that could have been a mole or vole or even a small rat. Too big for a shrew.
Windy, not really warm, got out on the bike. Military transport parked over at the visitor's lot, probable C-130 but again I couldn't see the nose. Did not die.
