Friday floral report
May. 24th, 2024 11:45 amButtercups have joined the roadside yellow brigade. Also *maybe* yellow hawkweed, but too far away for positive ID. And the curled dock has their peculiar green flower heads up. Apple and crab-apple trees are shedding petals.
No roadkill seen. Heard a couple of trills that could have been a mockingbird, but not definitive. And something large keeps adding branches to the top of some apron lights out at the airport, and the airport staff keeps removing them. Metal birds limited to a 4-engine turboprop, probably C-130 but I couldn't see the nose.
Got out on the bike, across town and hither hence. Ride takes me over 200 miles for the year. Did not die.
