Friday floral report
May. 17th, 2024 11:37 amFirst rhodora blooming in the bog, lilac starting to open, both crabapples and cultivated apples ditto. Most of the early azaleas are dropping flowers, including ours. The bees and hummingbirds have other targets.
Roadkill limited to one fragmentary turtle on the road, probably painted turtle because it left a yellow plastron fragment. Not-roadkill, a single pair of geese on grass at the cemetery pond.
Warm and not particularly windy, got out on the bike. Did not die.
