Tuesday floral report
May. 14th, 2024 03:50 pmLilies of the valley starting to bloom, ornamental cherries and plums and a few apples. Also, at least one feral commercial apple. Azaleas starting to drop their flowers. Dandelions in full glory, coltsfoot going to fluff, saw more red trilliums.
No roadkill, although I did see a pavement blotch that may represent a removed woodchuck. Two-legs or four-legs, a lot of roadkill vanishes.
Metal bird supply low. The airport/base is resurfacing the runway in increments, and it is closed a couple of days every week. You got a problem, you're gonna need to make it another hundred miles or so.
Got out on the bike, winds gusting to 30 mph but temperature in the 60s F. Did not die. It's not that the bear dances so well, it's that it dances at all.
