Air temperature 42 F, wind southwest about 4 mph, cloudy. I haven't seen the moon since the eclipse. Hope it wasn't damaged in the act. May get some more yard cleanup done today, also a bike ride or walk. Need to haul the road bike up from the basement and across river to the shop for spring cleaning. I mean tuneup.

"Patriots' Day" (or Patriot's, or Patriots) is a holiday peculiar to Massachusetts and Maine that remembers the Battles of Lexington and Concord and now shifts day according to the whims of three-day weekends. Go out and run a marathon or watch a Red Sox game or snipe at a redcoat and move your arms and munitions to a different barn.

Picked up and dumped another 7.5 +/- gallons of pine cones. There are still no-go areas out there due to wet soil or even standing water, so not done yet. Also need to start moving branches and twigs out to the roadside for the city to haul away.

Bike ride, stretching out a bit upriver and back, past the cemetery pond. Which is open, and had at least 8 geese on the banks and nearby grass. Also a couple of pairs of mallards off in wet spots among the graves. No frogs heard, but that may have been the sunshine.

Should note that the ride statistics won't be comparable once I switch over to the road bike -- its bike computer measures actual road miles under the wheels, while the cell phone app is GPS. Also, the timing on the bike computer stops when the bike stops.

7.66 miles, 54:18

Half moon doesn't seem to have suffered any damage from the solar encounter last week. I'd been worried.
