Narrow launch window

Air temperature 46 F, wind southeast 14 mph gusting to 25, cloudy but drying off. The past stretch of weather is why I warned eclipse-chasers about Maine in April. Well, that and the mud. Which abides.

Sunshine on my face

Got out on the bike again, still just neighborhood ride rather than faring far afield. Saw a probable sparrowhawk/kestrel in a back yard tree, too far for positive ID but the size, general color, and upright perching were right. Stretching the mileage a bit further.
