Air temperature 36 F, wind northwest gusting to 25 mph, cloudy and dark. Not, at the moment, raining. Or any of the other stuff we can have falling out of the sky in March.

Power to the people?
One thing that is common across many human societies -- "the people" usually means "my tribe." Individuals have larger or smaller tribes, sometimes the whole human species and sometimes nothing larger than immediate family or just themselves.
Weather continues
Winds still gusting over 40 mph, but the snow and sleet stopped and I got in my neighborhood walk. Some limbs down from yesterday, when gusts topped 60 mph. Even a couple of trees uprooted that I hadn't noticed before. You'd think they'd run out of ammunition, but no.
