Candlemas again

Air temperature 32 F, wind near calm, light mist. Driveway frosted when I took the trash out to the street, but I remained upright and fully operational. Or, as operational as I get. As usual on this day, I wish you the traditional hope that you still have at least half your wood and half your hay.

No groundhogs were harmed in any way in the making of this post. They remain tucked up in their burrows under the ice and snow, snoozing. Respect the "Do Not Disturb" signs.

Usually by this time I will have seen a posted photo of some nice browned link sausages with the caption "Ground Hog Day."
