Haven't vanished yet

Air temperature 24 F, wind north gusting to 27 mph, mostly cloudy but morning star shining. Wind not quite enough to ground the utility crews. Still over 100,000 customers without power in Maine, no cable TV here.

And a happy solstice of your choice to any who believe in such goings-on. As the days grow longer the cold grows stronger.

Supply chain update

Tried another foraging run this morning. Large areas in dairy empty, but Wife did score some of her preferred yogurt. Freezer section almost completely bare. The chain is trying to reload four major stores, one truck at a time.
