Waiting for the storm

Air temperature 39 F, wind south about 3 mph, fog. Visibility .25 miles at the airport, far side of the park here. Roads wet, probably slippery in some areas.* We are expecting up to 4" of rain and wind gusts over 60 mph tonight into tomorrow. May still be able to get a walk in before it starts. Hatches battened.

*One fatality reported in yesterday's black ice episodes.

Going with the wind

Our oak has decided that today is the day to drop leaves -- snow out front now completely covered. Who knows where those will end up after the storm. Along the same lines, my morning walk revealed a number of Xmas decorations that may not be in the same zip code by tomorrow evening.
