Weather advances

Air temperature 30 F, wind northeast 9 mph gusting to 18, light snow. Total accumulation looks to be about 3" so far, but this extends back into New Hampshire so it'll be a while. Have not seen a city plow yet. But we don't have to go anywhere.

Well, having Florida out of the championship playoffs means we won't have to listen to that damned tomahawk chop chant.

Everything modern

We have been plowed -- both main road and side road. Which means I now have my own personal plow berm to remove, complete with oak leaf reinforcement.

Snowy drizzle, fading out. Should be able to clear the driveway and sidewalk a little earlier than I expected. First run of the new snowblower.

Slushy stuff relocated off functional surfaces. New snowblower was not pleased with the admixture of oak leaves -- they wrap around the auger and impeller instead of flying straight out like decent snow or even ice. Had to unclog the chute a number of times, and I'll have another talk with the machine when it has thawed out and dried up a bit.
