Avoiding the news

Air temperature 49 F, wind north at about 7 mph, fog at the airport weather station but just wet here. Spotty showers on the weather radar. Should be able to forage on our usual schedule.

Critter oddity

Walking along the second block of our street, and I spotted a chipmunk moving parallel to me. It kept zipping from cover to lookout. This went on for several houses, with chippy keeping about 30 feet away but next to me. I suspect that someone in that area has been feeding our little rodent neighbors, and if I had squatted down and offered a peanut, I would have had a friend.
