Quiet city dawn

Air temperature 62 F, wind south about 5 mph, fog at the airport again, visibility 1.5 miles. Which means you might not see that moose strolling across the runway. Bike ride planned for later.

Sunday floral report

Asters flourishing, in all tints and sizes including the small white ones in our back jungle. Burdock going brown, having produced burrs. More loosestrife on this route, confusing the roadside purples.

No roadkill. Not-roadkill, blue heron at the cemetery pond. No way to tell if this is the same one I'd reported before. No sign of the geese, which absence I am sure is fine with the grounds crew.

Got out on the bike, truncating my ride to the regular local route due to humidity and lack of zeal. Upriver and across to the road through the bog and home. Did not die.
