Sunday roadkill report
Aug. 6th, 2023 01:26 pmOne flattened skunk on the centerline about 5 miles into my ride, probable porcupine on the far edge of the road in the same area. Also, strong skunk smell in several other areas, but no corpse sightings. And a probable muskrat that had been lying in the sun long enough to mummify.
Late summer flowers, including that area of invasive spotted knapweed that I reported last year and more purple loosestrife.
Main invasive alien sighting by weight was a cruise ship docked down on the waterfront. Hope they enjoyed last night's concert.
Got out on the bike, more wind than I'd like but temperatures okay. Stretched out my mileage. Did not die.
