Wednesday roadkill report
Jul. 26th, 2023 11:49 amOne fairly fresh skunk flattened in the road at about mile 11 of my ride. Also, couple of gray squirrels dead in disarray.
Nothing new in the midsummer wildflowers, except probably a different species of goldenrod. City was in the process of mowing my bicycle botany, which makes things difficult.
Unknown species of Navy plane at the base, four engine turboprop P3 variant, with a flying-saucer radar bump in the underside of the fuselage and a ridge of fiberglass on the top for radio intercept.
Rode before the main heat, across town and back. 80 F when I got home. Did not die.
