Just as a PSA, I have no intention of signing on to new social networks. I am old and crotchety and no longer need to promote my writing to random strangers. Following Facebook and Dreamwidth provides me with more aggravation than I need. And get the hell off my lawn!

Not what I would do

There's a house on my walk route where the residents are installing wood chip mulch around a fire pit. Plenty of crushed stone available . . .
No cat friends out this morning. Which is a good thing -- anyone with a permanent fur coat should be inside or in a cool hole in the ground -- 85 F at the airport, and near calm.

Somebody small and furry has left one of our pseudo-strawberries sitting out on the porch. I presume it will be collected later.

Air temperature 91 F, with "feels like" index of 97. Heat pumps holding their own -- 72 F in my office.

Signs of addiction

Had a runner go by on the sidewalk earlier. I checked our digital thermometer -- 92 F at that time, in the shade. And the sidewalk isn't shaded.
