Foggy solstice dawn

Air temperature 53 F, wind near calm, visibility 1/4 mile or less. Could just about see across the street when I got up, now can see vague shapes across the park. Which is about as far as I am interested in looking into the woes of the world.

Wednesday floral report

Not really any new flowers -- lots of roadside daisies and near-daisies, purple vetch, buttercups, hawkweed, clover . . . some lilies starting to bloom

No roadkill. Not-roadkill, heard mockingbirds in two known mockingbird zones.

Enigmatic "Eastern Air Lines" 767 still parked out at the military transient area. I memorized the registration, and web search shows it as operating under "U. S. Transportation Command" so maybe I don't want to ask any further.

Sunny, little wind, got out on the bike across town and back. Did not die.
