Air temperature 34 F, up from a low of 31 overnight. Wind north about 6 mph, cloudy, snow showing on the weather radar out beyond the airport. Trash bin is out, which may be my peak accomplishment for the day.
You have to look carefully in order to pick out the stripy brown song sparrow in the moss, dead leaves, and twigs under the feeder. Excellent camouflage.
No skunks sighted on my afternoon walk. Did get to talk to Louis' and Sasha's people and they were aware of the lurking menace. That's all I can do about *that*. Johnny-jump-ups blooming, ground ivy, and more of the previously-mentioned flowers. Trout lily leaves up but no buds yet. Lilac buds swelling.
