Air temperature 27 F, wind near calm, fair sky. Joggers out with headlamp and dog at 0530. Must be spring. Can we claim to have survived another Maine winter?

More signs and portents

Some dark-headed (male) robins over in the park on my morning walk, probably migrants refueling before they headed on. Meanwhile, the public works trucks were out spreading brine on the roads in advance of predicted snow. Then a street sweeper came by, which does not strike me as proper scheduling.
