Air temperature 28 F, wind northwest about 14 mph, mostly cloudy. Wind is down from yesterday's peak gusts of 60 mph at the airport. We suffered no visible damage, although uphill neighbor has a couple of minor branches down. Foraging planned.

Interest rates are the price you pay to spend someone else's money. We are old enough to remember when the US had a stable economy and you could still get 3% or higher interest paid on a passbook savings account. The recent decade of free money is an aberration, not a standard.
