Morning mysteries

Air temperature 29 F, wind south about 3 mph, mostly cloudy. Supposed to be warm again today (for January and for Maine values of "warm") and rain again tomorrow late. Meanwhile, dawn shows two police cars down the street at the house visited by the emergency services a few days back.

More defunct holiday trees by the road, every time I get out for a walk. City will chip them and recycle as landscape mulch, so take off any ornaments and tree stands.
