Damp morning dawning

Air temperature 40 F, wind northwest about 10 mph, cloudy. Rain moving on, with cold to follow. Headlamp joggers were out before first light.

We have updated to the Century of the Fruitbat, replacing our old basic cell phone with a basic 'smart' phone that offers a gazillion features we will never use, but which is 5G compatible. I *think* I know how to make a call on it . . .

Big Brother *is* watching. It's weird and a bit paranoia-inducing to watch the little blue dot move on the map app as you walk around the neighborhood . . .

Flight of eight ducks low over my afternoon walk. Odds are strong that they are local mallards, although Elder Son reports transients at the marsh.
